So it has officially been an entire month since I made an account here on Medium. It really flew by!

My initial goal was to write one article a day, and I was able to get pretty close. In the last 30 days, I have written and published a total of 21 articles (a few of which took 2–3 days to write), and while I didn’t meet my goal of one per day, I’m happy with the amount that I did post.

Here are a few takeaways about my first month on Medium, mostly for my future reference.

  • I gained a total of 8 followers, 105 views, 58 reads, and 18 fans.
  • I have read on average at least 2–3 articles a day from other writers.
  • I have found my niche, my favorite set of topics to write about being love and relationships.
  • I’m working on “finding my voice” and figuring out how to put my personality and humor into my writing.
  • I truly believe that with practice, I can become a great writer.

The follower count and reads might not seem like much, but I honestly didn’t expect anyone to want to read what I was writing. So it did come as a bit of a shock to me when someone actually did.
