Thanks for your comment and adding in your perspective on this one! I'm glad that you have female friends in your life who are platonic and comfortable with meeting your current girlfriend. It is true that there is a certain level of emotional intimacy present with long-term friends (that may not exist right away with a romantic partner), but I think the goal at the end of the day is for your partner to become your best friend and the one you trust most.
