The purpose of this piece was to encourage young women to make good choices in their dating life now so they don't end up unhappy later on, or with regret over how they spent their youth.

Of course, everyone's experiences are different. I am only speaking to the dating climate I have observed in our society and what it means for young women who desire marriage and a family one day. I do believe that there is a lot about modern dating culture that isn't great (including the way men often view women and vice versa).
