Stop Sleeping With Men You Don’t Want To Make A Baby With
I recently came across a piece that encourages women to stop having sex with men.
Specifically, men who are against women’s “reproductive rights.”
Am I the only one who finds it ironic?
This is what conservative voices have been saying all along:
Stop sleeping with men that you don’t want to make a baby with.
It really is that simple.
There is no such thing as “free sex.”
There is no way around it: having sex comes with responsibility.
There’s the responsibility of (potential) parenthood, health-related issues, emotional consequences, social implications, and then some.
These all come with the decision to have sex.
Regardless of what we tell ourselves, which contraceptive methods we use, or the “sexual liberation” rhetoric that has grown so popular, there is no such thing as free sex.
Like it or not, sex is sexist.
The decision to have sex with men has always left women in a more vulnerable state.
