“Test Drive The Car Before You Buy It!” Is Terrible Dating Advice
We’ve all heard the analogy:
“You have to test drive the car before you buy it!”
Yes, it would be wise to test drive a car, especially before you drop thousands of dollars on it. You want to be sure that it meets all your needs. Does it have heated seats? Enough legroom? Cruise control?
These are all attributes you might like to try for yourself before you commit to such a big purchase.
So, yes, you should test drive a car before you buy it.
Except, this analogy isn’t talking about a car.
This “test drive before you buy” concept encourages people to test their sexual compatibility with a potential partner before making a real commitment.
Because, hey, what if they have no idea what they’re doing or how to please you? Or what if they’re just really awkward?
It might be, dare I say, a dealbreaker.
Imagine having to actually communicate with your partner about your likes and dislikes. You know, using actual words?
