Self-Proclaimed “Alpha Males” Just Keep Embarrassing Themselves

An open letter to men who claim to be “alphas.”

I recently came across this quote:

“Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.”

— Margaret Thatcher

This concept could be applied to many things in life.

Hate to break it to you, but if you have to explicitly tell people that you are—you aren’t.

Most recently, I’ve seen this concept come to life within some of the toxic messaging of the “manosphere” community.

Self-proclaimed “alpha males” on the internet feel the need to put women down, convince others of their “dominance,” and sometimes even attempt to monetize their lifestyles by coaching other men on how to become a “high-value male.”

Several recent events in the content-creator world have come to my attention.
