Really refreshing article. I think its important to note that solutions to social ills are not as simple as making abortion legal or illegal everywhere.

On the pro-life side, the solution to abortion is not just making it illegal - but involves providing support so that women do not have to choose abortion in the first place. On the pro-choice side, the solution to abuse, sexual exploitation, or irresponsibility (among other issues) is not limitless abortions for all, but in getting women out of these bad situaitons that lead to unwanted pregnancies in the first place.

Like your son, I am Catholic and believe in helping and supporting people through all walks of life. When the Roe v. Wade news came out, the first thing I did was research adn donate to organizations that help care for women and their babies. I hope others will do the same. So grateful to hear a young priest who is not afraid to speak on this issue, and leaves his congregation inspired to take action. We cannot call ourselves Christian and then turn a blind eye to all the problems that still exist in our country, regardless of the legality of abortion.
