If You Think Like This, You Must Be A Man

Yes, question my gender just because I don’t agree with you.

I recently got a comment that asked, “are you a dude?”

This wasn’t the first person on Medium to question my gender, either.

Generally, I find it amusing.

I enjoy writing from an unusual perspective.

I am a woman, but I can sympathize with a lot of the issues that men face in our society today.

I can sympathize with the struggles that men go through because of gendered expectations, stereotypes, and — my favorite — the radical feminist movement.

This, apparently, makes me a man.

Many problems in this world need to be solved from the inside out.

When it comes to any conflict, we have the tendency to seek to change the ideas, attitudes, and behaviors of the other party involved. This isn't the right way to go about it. If everyone worked to improve things within themselves and their own group, we would all be better off.

This is why I choose to critique the negative attitudes or behaviors of (some) women — especially those in the dating scene. This is a group that I am a part…
