I love reading your responses as well, so thanks for contributing your thoughts! I do think you make a good point--that we will never completely eradicate all inequities in society. Like you said, men and women are inherently different. This doesn't make one better than the other, but there are privileges that each group enjoys. (You're also right about the over-emphasis on women's inequalities over the ways men suffer inequalities in society. Ironically, the fight for equality is anything but equal.)

I guess my take on it is we should do away with double standards by collectively raising our standards and challenging our biases. We can all do better. But that is perhaps too idealistic for the world today.

Of course, my thoughts and experiences are limited and I am continuing to learn more about these topics every day. So feel free to share alternative perspectives. I will never take offense.
