Hi there, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I would agree with you here if every single time a person had sex, they got pregnant. If that were the case, I would totally see the need for pregnancy prevention, because sex is just as important for intimate bonding between two people as it is for "baby-making."
The reality is that there's a relatively short window each month where women can conceive - and there are methods of pregnancy prevention that do not involve any physical or chemical barriers. (NFP, for example.) I've found this to retain the complete intimacy and openness of sex without the hassle of using contraceptives that come with many side effects and risks. I'm curious to know - why didn't you want to use condoms with your partner?
