Hi there! Excellent piece. You hit the nail on the head when you call out modern society’s obsession with Self. Sacrifice and virtue have lost their value but, as you say, Love cannot exist without sacrifice. It’s like everyone is trying to find “someone who loves ME as much as I love ME.” This mentality is why modern dating is such a mess. Really great job unpacking a complicated topic.
