Good article, I agree with a lot of what you said about how young men are pressured to have sex. It's going to sound funny, but as a teenager I used to think that "virginity" was a very feminine concept. (I basically thought that only girls could be "virgins.")

But this was also because I've witnessed a very different attitude from young women about sex. For many teenage girls, losing their virginity is this big occasion, where they'll chat with their friends about the details. For guys, it's not quite the same. I would find it really strange if a guy was chatting with a group of male friends about how nervous or excited he was to "lose his virginity" the way that girls might.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with being a virgin in high school, or at any age really.
