Four Signs That You’re A Demisexual

The first time I came across the definition of a demisexual, I thought to myself, “doesn’t everyone feel that way?”

Demisexual (n): a person who doesn’t experience sexual attraction unless they form a strong emotional connection with someone.

If you suspect that you might be a demisexual, here are four indicators.

1. You never have sexual fantasies about strangers.

You find it impossible to fantasize about people you don’t know personally, no matter how objectively attractive they are. They can be the best-looking person you have ever seen in your life, but somehow your mind never goes to imaging them naked or in your bed.

Celebrities, as good-looking and chiseled and photoshopped as they are, aren’t exempt from this, either. Scantly-clad pictures or videos of celebrities do nothing for you. Regardless of a person’s physical attractiveness, the thought of having sex with them is not appealing at all.

2. It takes you a long time to open up physically within relationships.
