Excellent read! This is such a good topic and the way you unpacked it was excellent. It's a shame that so many people reduce these types of issues to a matter of racism, when really there are so many other contributing factors. Of course Black Lives Matter, but it shouldn't be only when a white person is involved. Another issue is the problem of single motherhood within black communities, and the high abortion rate of black babies. The problem with the victim mentality that has taken over is that nobody ever wants to look inward as to what they can do in their own community to make the problem better. It is much easier to just blame someone else. Thanks again for this, it's a great message that more people should hear!
