Before You Fall In Love, Know This
Everybody wants to fall in love.
But too often, we forget to think about what makes love possible.
You can only love someone as much as you know them. And you can only love someone else as much as you love yourself.
Before you truly love another, you have to know and love yourself.
Know your values.
You may have already heard the quote:
“If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for everything.”
This is why it's so important to know what you stand for as an individual.
In relationships, people tend to mold their lives around the life of their partner. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it can become problematic when a person tries to fit a mold that they don’t necessarily want.
The best-case scenario is when two whole people, both of whom know themselves, come together because they realize that they both value the same things.
If you don’t know what your values are, you will never be able to find a partner who shares them.
